Our story
Bienvenido a Once
As Mexicans in Groningen, we were missing a place where we could eat truly authentic Mexican food. We decided to make it a reality and ONCE soon became a reality. Our Mexican chef will prepare a selection of specialties based on the techniques and heritage of authentic Mexican cuisine. Get ready for powerful Mexican flavors, a wonderful selection of mezcals and tequilas, not to mention the warm and lively atmosphere that Mexico is known for!

The image of Mexican food we have here can cause some confusion when people look at an actual Mexican menu. What most know as a taco is actually a curved tostada. A tortilla here is a taco in Mexico and there are many more examples. To help you with this Mexican menu, we’ve listed the dishes so you know what you’re ordering! Enjoy!
